Genentech\u2019s corporate campus in South San Francisco houses many structures built by Hathaway Dinwiddie. Buildings 31, 32, and 33 occupy a central location on the campus and were constructed in three phases. The three 5-story, structural steel, Class A buildings include offices, support space, conference centers, lobbies, and a high-end cafeteria, kitchen, and dining area. The buildings were designed to allow natural light into the space through large windows and skylights made of high performance glass. Site improvements included surface parking, landscaping, and hardscape with stone walls and lithocrete walkways.
